About This Book
"Light Years" introduces readers to the high-stakes world of the Quatra Fleet Academy, an elite interstellar military school. Following a devastating alien attack, the academy opens its doors to students from across the solar system, bringing together four distinct teenagers: Vesper, a hotshot pilot; Cormak, an identity-stealing survivor from a toxic planet; Arran, an outcast seeking belonging; and Orelia, a cadet with a secret mission. This young adult novel, suitable for ages 12-18, explores themes of prejudice, identity, teamwork, and first love against a backdrop of space adventure and military training. Parents should be aware of mild peril and romantic content typical for the YA genre.
